I hate it that I lose myself whenever I am around you.
People say I’m a fool, but what would you have me do?
I have tasted your love, non else can make me full.
Yet I know loving you is an enchanted taboo I can’t undo.
Never hate me for seeing beyond the values you think
At first, I thought it was your beauty that made my head spin
Feeling your charm is nothing enduring but transient
Yet, you have proven unbeaten your rectitude and probity.
What I don’t understand is why it’s only me who sees through
They say I am insane conjuring for you attributes that are untrue
That you too can’t see these things is why I am bemused.
